Fall Sports Wrap Up 2017

 

athleticsMen’s Football had a nearly flawless season and were able to advance deeper into the playoffs than they had for several seasons.  Head Coach Ralph Nance lead a balanced team into the 2017 season and saw a defensive side emerge as one of the top defensive units in all 2A Football.  The team only suffered one loss during the regular season and were able to have a perfect conference record for the 2nd year in a row.  The Flatiron League Champs earned a home game in the first round of the State Playoffs against Bishop Machebeuf.

Spring Sports Wrap Up and Yearly Results

 

athleticsThis was an exciting year in Track and Field at Faith with several exciting accomplishments.  Coach Mike Black and his staff of excellent coaches are not afraid to compete in track meets with the largest and most powerful teams in Colorado.  This tough level of competition prepares the athletes to perform when it matters the most.  Senior Sarah Yocum finished off her amazing high school career with three state championships and being named 3A track athlete of the year.

Fall Sports Wrap Up - FCHS and FCMS

xc coleFCHS: Cross Country had a tremendous year with the men's team accomplishing a Faith first.  The men's team was the first team in school history to win the regional meet, with 9th grader, Cole Sprout, finishing first overall.  Although the team did not reach the podium at the state level they are loaded with underclassmen and look poised for future greatness.  Additionally, Cole Sprout finished second individually at the state championship meet, losing to a senior runner.  The women's had a solid season and, again, are a very young team with a bright future ahead of them, Shannon King qualified for the state meet as a freshman.

Spring Sports Wrap Up

teamTrackNFieldAs it is with every spring sports season, we experienced the full degree of weather; from a picture perfect tryout week, to a snow filled season creating a puzzle game of reschedules, to a beautiful state championship weekend for our baseball team. 

This 2016 spring season generated great success for our spring sports!

Winter Sports Wrap Up (Middle and High Schools)

teamWrestle3It’s hard to believe that Winter Sports have come to an end.

High School:  Wrestling had a record breaking year!  The team had four wrestlers qualify for the State Tournament (the most we have ever had) overall placing 33rd by the end of the tournament, and our very own Kolten Hafey finished fifth in the 120 lb weight class!

Eagles Football Develops Three New Youth Teams

5th gr footballClose to 65 elementary boys are now competing on three teams in the Coal Creek Midget Football League as the Faith Eagles. It's been four years since FC Academy has had a middle school team because most of the students already played in leagues all over the city. Coal Creek allowed FC to create it's own team, where all our students could be on the same team, representing the Faith Eagles.
