CHAPEL at Faith
Chapel is a special time for students, staff & parents to enjoy active worship and fellowship as an entire school. Worshipping Jesus Christ is an amazing privilege. We want to help each student experience the leading of the Holy Spirit as He points us all continually to Jesus and to express his/her own love for the Father, Son & the Holy Spirit. Each campus enjoys chapel times weekly.
Elementary School chapel is held every Tuesday morning. The teachers are active participants on the praise team, leading actions to songs as well as praying systematically for each student in our school. We are thoroughly blessed to have pastors, children's directors, parents and staff who come and creatively share the message each week. The teachings are usually focused around the school wide Bible theme for the year or the monthly character trait. A detailed list of the monthly character traits is below. Each week we also include awards for children who "SOAR" with excellent behavior or have been noticed exhibiting exemplar respect. Our yearly highlights are "Penny Wars": collecting money for missions, and Operation Christmas Child: collecting shoeboxes. The presence of God has been experienced in and through the times of worship as the students raise their voices in song, their hands in praise. We thank God for the freedom and privilege we have at Faith Christian to love Him openly and wholeheartedly.
Middle School Chapel is held every Wednesday during the last hour of the day. The praise and worship is led by a group of Faith's very own eighth grade students. Each student on the team brings a special musical talent and a fresh new anointing. Chapel begins with a time of worship and praise followed by a message/teaching brought to the students by either a middle school teacher or a youth pastor from a church attended by Faith Christian families. Twice a year the students experience “Spiritual Emphasis Week”. On that particular week, students attend chapel during the last two hours of the day for three days. A theme is presented with music, skits, and fun concluding with a message by a special speaker. Many students lives are touched as they listen and experience God during chapels. Please pray with us that God’s ever-faithful presence and anointing will rest on our students as they lead the student body into praise and worship.
Our Chapel theme this year is "Run to win the prize!"
It is based on 1 Corinthians 9:24.
Parents and grandparents are encouraged to attend chapel.
High School Chapel is held every Monday after first hour. We are blessed to have a student led worship team who lead us each week, and often will have a short challenge/devotional from one of our student council members. After a time of worship, we generally will have a message brought by a guest speaker or staff member. We also will periodically have chapels that begin with a short message and then leave time for students to break out into small groups to discuss the message. Twice a year we will plan a “Spiritual Emphasis Week”. During that week we will have three chapel services; in the fall semester we generally have a guest speaker for this week, and in the spring these chapels will be planned by one of our senior Bible classes. Please pray with us that each week God’s anointing will rest on those who are leading in worship and teaching and that we will have open ears to hear what the Holy Spirit desires to say to us.
